Pacific World, the integrated global DMC and Event Management organisation, has released its second Destination Index.
Florida is the number one destination requested by the global meetings industry in the USA. Miami is known for its tropical weather and beautiful waterways but additional experiences include CSR team building events as well as a large choice of meeting and eating venues such as the Charter One Yachts which hosts a fleet of ships ideal for any occasion, from small or medium gala dinners to 500 person events. New venues and restaurants provide new creative options. The Destination Index has identified Arizona and San Diego as number two and number three top meetings and events destinations in the USA.
Pacific World’s research also shows that in Italy, Milan’s current popularity is attributable to a better infrastructure with Milan Malpensa Airport, the second most important airport in Italy. Expo 2015 in Milan is also changing the image of the city, taking place between 1 May and 31 October 2015.
Furthermore, the research has highlighted a large demand in incentives, meetings and sport events and an increasing interest in Italy from Europe and South America.
Pacific World’s Destination Index has identified South France – Monaco and UAE as number two and number three top meetings and events destinations in EMEA.
Finally, Seoul is still the most popular city followed by Busan, South Korea, in Asia. The research has identified a large demand for meetings from the pharmaceutical sector, incentives with meetings and special events during international conferences, with an increasing interest from Australia, UK, USA and Brazil. Ej Fieldhouse, Pacific World’s Country Manager South Korea explains: “This is a new destination for many corporate and association meetings and events.” The Destination Index has identified Indonesia and Hong Kong as number two and number three destinations in Asia.
