Bahia Principe to reopen renovated resorts in Tenerife and Jamaica

PALMA – Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts will reopen two renovated properties on 1 December 2026. The Bahia Principe resorts in Tenerife and Jamaica will return after year-long renovation programmes. The projects upgraded accommodation, restaurants, communal areas, swimming pools and entertainment facilities.

The two properties are Bahia Principe Explore Costa Adeje in Tenerife and Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica in Runaway Bay. Each resort now reflects the character of its destination. Costa Adeje draws inspiration from Tenerife’s volcanic landscapes and Guanche heritage. Meanwhile, the Jamaican property celebrates local traditions and Caribbean culture.

The reopenings mark another step in the brand’s development. They strengthen its premium all-inclusive offering and reinforce its presence in both destinations.

Explore and Escape collections offer distinct experiences

Both properties belong to Bahia Principe Explore, the brand’s collection for families, friends and groups. The collection combines relaxation, entertainment and opportunities to discover each destination.

Alongside Explore, Bahia Principe Escape offers an adults-only experience. It focuses on a more relaxed and sophisticated holiday. Together, the two collections give guests a clearer choice of experiences. They also retain the hospitality and all-inclusive service associated with the brand.

Julio Pérez, CEO of Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts, said: “The reopening of these two hotels is a significant step for Bahia Principe, because it allows us to bring back two completely renovated strategic assets to our portfolio and strengthen our presence in Tenerife and Jamaica. With these investments we renew our commitment to both destinations and consolidate a more competitive offering, elevating the customer experience through a proposition adapted to the evolution of demand and to the preferences of our customers.”

Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts forms part of Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection. The business operates through a 50/50 joint venture between Hyatt and Piñero.

Bahia Principe Explore Costa Adeje reflects Tenerife’s heritage

Bahia Principe Explore Costa Adeje introduces contemporary accommodation and redesigned social spaces. Its renewed design celebrates Tenerife’s distinctive identity. The resort will offer 471 rooms and three swimming pools.

One pool features an infinity design and views across the Atlantic Ocean. In addition, four restaurants will serve international, Italian and Mongolian specialities. Guests can also enjoy more informal poolside dining.

The leisure programme will cater to different ages and interests. Activities include games, crafts, live music and karaoke. Younger guests can visit the dedicated Kids Club for children aged four to 12. Its programme combines creative activities, play and opportunities to explore Tenerife’s local culture.

With its upgraded facilities and family-focused atmosphere, the resort offers a base for exploring the island. Its design also places local heritage at the centre of the guest experience.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica celebrates Caribbean culture

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica will welcome guests back to Runaway Bay after extensive renovation and recovery work. The project upgraded accommodation and facilities. It also enhanced the resort’s all-inclusive experience.

The concept of “Roots” shapes the property’s identity. It celebrates Jamaica’s culture, natural beauty and Caribbean character. The resort incorporates elements of the island’s heritage into its design, dining and entertainment.

Entertainment will play a central role in the resort’s offer. Activities will include live music, karaoke, beach parties, dance classes and sports. Guests can also attend Xaymaca The Show, which celebrates Jamaica’s history, music and rhythms.

Families will have access to a broad range of activities. These include a dedicated Kids Club, a waterpark and creative workshops. Cycling tours and patois classes will introduce guests to the island’s language and culture. Meanwhile, Bahia Principe Village will provide further leisure and entertainment opportunities.

The renovated resort combines upgraded facilities with experiences inspired by Jamaica’s heritage. It aims to give families and groups space to relax and spend time together. At the same time, its activities encourage guests to discover the destination.

The December reopenings will return two extensively upgraded Bahia Principe resorts to the market. They also reinforce the brand’s all-inclusive presence in Tenerife and Jamaica.
