LOT Polish Airlines has joined TSA PreCheck program, enabling eligible passengers departing from airports across the United States to access dedicated expedited security screening lanes. The addition of TSA PreCheck is another enhancement to LOT’s passenger experience, helping travelers move through airport security more efficiently and begin their journey with greater ease.
TSA PreCheck is a program administered by the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) for eligible, vetted travelers. The program uses a risk-based approach to security screening, allowing eligible passengers to move through a more streamlined screening process. In most cases, TSA PreCheck travelers do not need to remove their shoes, belts or light jackets, and can leave laptops and compliant liquids in their carry-on bags. The program is available at participating airports across the United States.
How to use TSA PreCheck when flying LOT?
To use TSA PreCheck when traveling with LOT, passengers must be eligible for the program and have a Known Traveler Number (KTN). The KTN should be added to the reservation during check-in through the LOT website, mobile app or at the airport prior to departure.
Once the KTN has been correctly added and check-in is complete, the passenger will receive a boarding pass displaying the TSA PreCheck indicator. This designation is required to access a dedicated TSA PreCheck security lane.
Having a KTN or being enrolled in TSA PreCheck does not guarantee access to TSA PreCheck screening on every trip. Before proceeding to security, passengers should confirm that the TSA PreCheck indicator appears on their boarding pass.
Who is eligible for TSA PreCheck?
TSA PreCheck is available to travelers who meet the program's eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents. Members of Global Entry, SENTRI and NEXUS may also be eligible for TSA PreCheck benefits.
