EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse adds three destinations for winter schedule

EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg will offer 89 direct destinations across 31 countries this winter, with three new or resumed routes and additional frequencies on several existing services.

The 2026/27 winter flight schedule takes effect October 25 and runs through March 27, 2027. A total of 20 airlines will serve the airport, with most routes connecting travelers to European cities and Mediterranean destinations, including Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Egypt, France, the UK, Greece, Italy, Morocco, Portugal, Scotland, Spain, Tunisia and Turkey.

Passengers will also have access to connecting flights through major international hubs served by Air France in Paris, Austrian Airlines in Vienna, British Airways in London, KLM in Amsterdam, and Lufthansa in Frankfurt and Munich. Other options include connections through Istanbul with AJet, Pegasus Airlines and Turkish Airlines, as well as Barcelona with Vueling.

Three destinations will be added to the winter network. Poznań in Poland will receive three weekly flights, while Varna in Bulgaria and Yerevan in Armenia will each have three and two weekly flights, respectively.

Wizz Air is expanding its presence by joining easyJet, GP Aviation and Chair Airlines on services to Pristina, Kosovo. It will also introduce Naples, Italy, to its network in March 2027.

Frequencies will increase on several existing routes, including Amsterdam, Bucharest, Lisbon, Marrakesh, Porto, Pristina and Skopje, giving travelers more options during the winter season.

Looking further ahead, Air Canada will introduce a new direct route between EuroAirport and Montreal on June 17, 2027. The service is scheduled to operate four times weekly using an Airbus A321XLR, complementing existing flights by Air Transat.

Montreal will provide passengers with onward connections across Canada and to destinations in the United States, expanding the airport’s transatlantic reach.

The 2027 summer schedule will also include two weekly easyJet flights to Pantelleria, the Italian island southwest of Sicily. Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Tivat, Montenegro, will join the network with twice-weekly services beginning in May and June, respectively.

Alongside route development, EuroAirport is planning improvements to its passenger facilities. Boarding areas in the Gates South zone will be expanded from 2027 to provide more space and improve passenger comfort. Construction is scheduled for completion in spring 2028.

The work forms part of the airport’s multiyear investment program, which represents a total investment of €600 million over the next seven years.
