Rostock, October 6, 2026 Bookings for AIDA cruises for the 2028/2029 winter season open on October 6, 2026. The program ranges from new Caribbean routes and multi-week voyages to Brazil and Mauritius (departing from and returning to Germany) to trips to Southeast Asia and Australia, as well as Canary Islands cruises. A variety of voyage durations allows for everything from a compact winter getaway to several weeks of relaxation on board.

New routes in the Caribbean and Central America

Three AIDA ships will be operating in the Caribbean during the 2028/2029 winter season: AIDAprima, AIDAdiva, and AIDAbella. AIDAbella’s 14-day voyages combine Caribbean islands with destinations in Mexico and Central America. Ports of call include Cozumel, Belize City, Roatán, Puerto Limón, Colón, and Cartagena, among others. Other routes take guests via Jamaica to the Cayman Islands and the ABC islands of Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao. Voyages begin and end in either La Romana or the new turnaround port of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic

AIDAdiva’s routes for the 2028/2029 winter season include stops in Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Panama, and Colombia. Voyages to the Lesser Antilles connect destinations such as Dominica, Martinique, Barbados, Saint Lucia, Antigua, Sint Maarten, and Tortola. Different itineraries can be combined to create 28-day cruises, allowing guests to explore multiple regions of the Caribbean, Mexico, and Central America on a single trip. These voyages also depart from either La Romana or Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.

Extra-long voyages from Germany

Several routes begin directly in Germany. AIDAluna sets sail from Hamburg on the 27-day "Grand Winter Break: Canaries & Azores." Another highlight is the 50-day "Grand Winter Break: Brazil for Carnival" aboard AIDAluna. The voyage begins in Hamburg and crosses the Atlantic to Brazil; a three-day stay in Rio de Janeiro allows guests to experience the metropolis during Carnival. Maceió, in eastern Brazil, is a brand-new addition to the AIDA program.

Aboard AIDAsol, various "globetrotter" voyages will—for the first time—depart from Warnemünde, making multiple stops along the African coast before reaching Mauritius. These 41- to 55-day itineraries offer ample time to explore diverse regions and enjoy the longer stretches at sea.

Special Voyages: New Year's Eve in Thailand or Madeira

Another highlight of the winter program is the series of voyages aboard AIDAstella in Southeast Asia. A 14-day holiday cruise starting and ending in Singapore takes guests through Thailand and Malaysia, with New Year's Eve spent off the coast of Phuket. Travelers with more time can opt for a 24-day round-trip voyage from Singapore that combines various Southeast Asian cities and island destinations, featuring a visit to Ha Long Bay as an added highlight. Australia is also part of the 2028/2029 winter program, with Exmouth—on the continent's west coast—serving as a new AIDA port of call.

Canary Islands cruises offer a journey toward spring. Here, too, a highlight awaits guests on the New Year's Eve voyages aboard AIDAcosma and AIDAluna, where they will experience the spectacular fireworks display off the coast of Madeira as the new year begins. Depending on the itinerary, Canary Islands cruises feature stops such as Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, and Lanzarote, as well as Madeira, Morocco, and destinations along the Spanish Atlantic coast.

Winter in the Far North: AIDAluna Sets Course for Norway

Snow-covered landscapes, crisp winter air, and fascinating destinations north of the Arctic Circle: aboard AIDAluna, guests can experience the winter charm of the Far North in February and March 2029. Departing from and returning to Hamburg on February 27 and March 11, 2029, the voyages include stops in Tromsø, Alta, Bodø, and Trondheim, among others. This combines the unique experience of a winter voyage with some of Norway’s most impressive destinations.

Voyages on AIDAnova, AIDAperla, and AIDAmar will be available for booking at a later date; AIDAmar is scheduled for a world cruise. The AIDA winter voyages for 2028/2029 can be booked starting October 6, 2026, via travel agencies, the AIDA Customer Center (at +49 381 202 707 07), and at aida.de.
