The ceremony was held during the PATA Executive Board & Board Member and PATA Awards Presentation Dinner held on May 11, as part of PAS 2026 in Pohang, Korea (ROK).

Appointment of CEO for the Ministry of Tourism, Tonga
 
The Public Service Commission has announced the appointment of Mrs. Sandradee Fonua Fifita as the new Chief Executive Officer for Tonga’s Ministry of Tourism. Effective June 15, 2026, her four-year term marks her as the fifth female CEO currently serving across the government. Bringing over thirty years of public service experience in tourism and trade, Mrs. Fifita is well-positioned to drive national development and expand Tonga's tourism sector. Learn more >
