Rostock, 16. Jun 2026 AIDA Cruises will once again be an event sponsor at Kiel Week (June 20-28, 2026), continuing its long-standing commitment to one of the world's largest sailing and summer festivals. Under the motto "Kiel Week Connects," the cruise line will once again visibly showcase its brand both on land and on the water, focusing on experiential formats and emotionally engaging presentations.
The centerpiece of the presentation will be the AIDA Holiday World on the Kiellinie promenade near the Reventlou Bridge. From its soft opening on June 19, 2026, and throughout the official event period from June 20-28, open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., the area will become a meeting point for visitors who want to experience cruising firsthand.
The two-story experience center combines information and entertainment with a direct view of the Kiel Fjord. In addition to personalized travel advice and on-site booking options, interactive elements such as the AIDA Kissing Station photo spot, contests, and digital activations will be a key focus. New for 2026 is an expanded culinary offering, bringing the brand to life through food and drink: visitors can enjoy select AIDA signature drinks – with or without alcohol – as well as kiss-shaped waffles.
An emotional highlight of this year's engagement is the event celebrating AIDA's 30th anniversary. On June 21, the departure of AIDAbella from Kiel Fjord at approximately 6:30 p.m. will be accompanied by a choreographed performance. Tugboats and visual effects will create a striking scene, transforming the fjord into a temporary stage and highlighting the connection between the brand and its maritime setting.
The mascot parade will premiere at Kiel Week on June 27th from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. The route leads from the sailing camp on the Kiellinie promenade to the RSH Fördebühne (Bernhardt-Harms parking lot). In addition to popular mascots from the region, Dodo, Alwine, Itzi, and Achwasachwas will also be making an appearance. Along the route, various interactive activities such as a high-five zone, a dance battle, a slow-motion parade, a mascot conga line, and photo opportunities will provide entertainment. The mascots will also be officially presented on stage. Afterwards, children and families are invited to a meet & greet in the AIDA Holiday World from 4:15 PM to 4:45 PM, where photos with the mascots are possible and small goodies will be distributed.
