HOLLYWOOD, FLA. – Signia by Hilton Diplomat Beach Resort officially opened on May 1, 2026, marking the transition of The Diplomat Beach Resort into Signia by Hilton and opening a new phase for the South Florida beachfront property.
The 1,000-room resort, originally opened in 1958, has undergone an $80 million transformation following its 2023 acquisition by Trinity Investments. The renovation focused on public spaces and dining venues, including a redesigned lobby, six updated food and beverage concepts, Club Signia and The Verandah Social Club.
The property continues to build on its legacy as one of the country’s major meetings and events venues, offering more than 200,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space, a 50,000-square-foot Great Hall, four ballrooms and 39 breakout rooms.
Chris Nassetta, President and CEO of Hilton, said: “The Diplomat has long been one of South Florida’s most iconic properties, and this transformation marks an important next chapter – not just for the hotel, but for Hilton’s continued growth in the region. As we expand Signia by Hilton in key gateway and resort destinations, this property is a great example of how we’re building on strong foundations to meet what today’s travelers are looking for – thoug
