SINGAPORE – Bakuun has launched B-Portal, a white-label direct booking platform designed to provide hotels with a self-service channel for their contracted offline travel agencies.
The new platform aims to address operational challenges that continue to affect hotel distribution processes. According to the State of Distribution Report 2025 by HEDNA, 80% of hotels spend up to two days each week on manual reporting and reconciliation activities.
In many cases, contracted rates are still distributed through spreadsheets
and PDF documents, while bookings are confirmed by email. Payments are often
received after guest check-out without a booking reference attached, requiring
finance teams to manually reconcile transactions and increasing exposure to
credit risk.
B-Portal enables contracted travel agencies to access a branded booking environment where they can view contracted rates, check availability and complete reservations directly with participating hotels.
The platform incorporates Bakuun’s embedded bank-to-bank payment network, allowing payments to be processed according to contracted commercial terms. The company stated that B-Portal integrates with more than 250 channel managers and supports transactions in over 100 currencies.
Marco Bacchilega, Founder and
CEO of Bakuun, said: “We started Bakuun to empower
any travel business of any size with technology, to simplify distribution and
remove blockers in cross-border operations, payments, and contracting. B-Portal
is the most direct version of that thesis. Hotels already own these
relationships. They should own the booking and the payment infrastructure too,”
The launch of B-Portal expands Bakuun’s portfolio of distribution and
payment solutions aimed at improving efficiency and reducing manual processes
across the travel distribution ecosystem.
