Avianca expands connectivity with over 3,000 flights for soccer tournament

Avianca is expanding its operational capacity to support increased travel demand during a major international soccer tournament, reinforcing its connectivity across key destinations in the Americas.

The airline will operate more than 3,000 flights and offer nearly 600,000 seats, connecting passengers to 10 of the tournament’s 16 host cities. These include destinations in the United States such as Miami, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston, Dallas and Houston, as well as Mexico City and Monterrey in Mexico, and Toronto in Canada.

The remaining host cities will be accessible through Avianca’s partner network, extending the airline’s reach across the full tournament footprint.

The connectivity strategy is supported by a flexible product offering that combines accessibility with premium travel options, allowing passengers to tailor their travel experience based on individual preferences.

Gabriel Oliva, President of Avianca Group, said: “At Avianca, we are very proud to offer a unique network with more than 3,000 flights and nearly 600,000 seats, connecting to 10 of the tournament’s host destinations and reaching the remaining six through our partners. Our goal is to help fill the stadiums.”

The initiative reflects Avianca’s continued focus on strengthening regional connectivity and supporting large-scale events by facilitating passenger flows across multiple international markets.
