Beginning on May 22nd, Wizz Air will expand its offering with the launch of a connection to Malta, operated twice per week, every Monday and Friday. A day later, on May 23rd, the local Cluj-Napoca network will be further strengthened when the new flights to Dubrovnik also become available, on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
“After having the opportunity to fly on some of our newest routes from Cluj-Napoca, inaugurated at the end of 2025, I’m genuinely excited to see Wizz Air embark on another phase of expansion for the summer season. It’s incredibly rewarding to watch Romania become increasingly connected to wonderful leisure destinations like Malta and Dubrovnik,” said Ioana Seghete, flight attendant from Cluj-Napoca and WIZZ brand ambassador in Romania.
Since the start of its Romanian operations in 2006, Wizz Air has steadily increased its investment in the country, recognizing it as a key market. Currently, the airline has 238 routes from 14 Romanian airports on sale, connecting passengers to 83 destinations across 27 countries. Over the past 19 years in Romania, Wizz Air has established nine operational bases and currently employs more than 1,600 people.
