WIZZ AIR ADDS THREE NEW ROUTES FROM POLAND

Wizz Air, one of Europe’s leading low-cost airlines and the second-largest airline in Poland, announced the launch of three new direct routes from the country for the Spring/Summer 2026 season. The new services will connect Warsaw Modlin Airport with Varna (Bulgaria) and Rimini(Italy), and Kraków with Rhodes (Greece). Varna and Rhodes will be operated three times per week, while Rimini will be served four times per week. Tickets are already available via wizzair.com and the WIZZ mobile app. Fares start from 109PLN one way*.

Varna, located on the Black Sea coast, is one of Bulgaria’s leading seaside destinations, known for its long sandy beaches, mild climate and vibrant cultural life. The city offers a balanced mix of relaxation and entertainment, complemented by historical landmarks, archaeological sites and the popular Sea Garden, making it an appealing choice for both summer holidays and active breaks.

Rimini is one of the most iconic gateways to Italy’s Adriatic Riviera. Famous for its well-equipped beaches and lively atmosphere, the city also boasts a rich historical heritage, with a historic centre that spans more than two thousand years of history, from the Roman-era Tiberius Bridge to the Tempio Malatestiano. Rimini also serves as an ideal base for exploring the Emilia-Romagna region and nearby Italian cultural destinations.

Rhodes is among Greece’s most captivating island destinations, combining stunning beaches, crystal-clear waters and a unique historical legacy. Its medieval Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, sits alongside modern seaside resorts and a strong local culinary identity, offering travellers a well-rounded Mediterranean experience that blends culture, relaxation and authenticity.

These new routes expand Wizz Air’s leisure offer for travellers in Poland, providing more non-stop options to popular seaside destinations. Wizz Air now operates 234 routes from Poland to 32 countries. Since launching operations in Poland overall, Wizz Air has carried almost 130 million passengers.

From Warsaw Modlin Airport, where Wizz Air launched a new base on 1 December 2025, the airline continues to expand its network, offering Polish travellers an increasingly diverse range of direct connections across Europe. The airport is now linked to key destinations in Italy such as Rimini, Palermo, Alghero, Bergamo and Brindisi, as well as to Spain (Barcelona), Greece (Athens), Cyprus (Paphos), MaltaBulgaria (Varna and Sofia), Norway (Bergen) and Moldova (Chișinău). This growing portfolio of routes strengthens Warsaw Modlin’s role as an important gateway for both leisure and city-break travel, while reinforcing Wizz Air’s long-term commitment to expanding connectivity from the Polish capital region.

Wizz Air’s continued growth in Poland is supported by strong operational reliability and a modern fleet. The airline operated past year over 69 thousand flights, while maintaining a 99.7% flight completion rate. As part of its commitments to Polish travellers, Wizz Air will operate today’s announced new connection with Airbus A321neo aircraft, which deliver 20% lower fuel burn20% lower CO₂ emissions, and 50% less noisethan previous-generation Airbus aircraft. Nearly two-thirds of Wizz Air’s fleet is already A321neo, and the average fleet age is just over 4.5 years, placing Wizz Air among the airlines with one of the world’s youngest and most efficient fleets.

This new connections reflects Wizz Air’s commitment to accessible travel and strong value for money, aligned with the airline’s Customer First Compass program, focused on low fares, flexibility, and a seamless travel experience.

Salvatore Gabriele Imperiale, Corporate Communications Manager at Wizz Air, said: “We are proud to continue investing in Poland by adding new direct and affordable routes that respond to how Polish travellers want to fly. Varna, Rimini and Rhodes are ideal choices for summer holidays and for visiting friends and relatives, offering great value, convenient schedules and non-stop connections. Our goal is clear: to be the airline of choice for Polish customers, making travel easier, more accessible and better priced for both leisure trips and VFR journeys.
