(Seoul, October 23, 2025) - Hanjin Group celebrated its 80th anniversary today, marking eight decades of logistics innovation and pledging to extend its legacy into a new century as a global leader connecting the world.
The commemorative event, held at the Grand Hyatt Seoul, brought together approximately 400 distinguished guests, including government officials, ambassadors and business leaders, to celebrate Hanjin Group’s eight decades of achievements and pledge continued global growth into the next century.
Under the theme “The Art of Connection,” the event showcased Hanjin Group’s history, philosophy and future vision while honoring the dedication of its employees and cultural legacy. Through multimedia art and live orchestral performances, the event vividly illustrated the Group’s legacy of connecting people and communities around the world.
In his commemorative address, Hanjin Group Chairman Walter Cho stated: “Since our founding in 1945, Hanjin Group, whose name embodies the progress of the Korean nation, has continually pioneered new frontiers in logistics, guided by our founding philosophy of ‘serving the nation through transportation.’ We believe the essence of transportation lies in connecting the world and creating value that benefits society. We will remain steadfast in our commitment to earning the public’s trust and delivering exceptional customer experiences.”
Chairman Cho added, “Hanjin Group takes great pride in having grown alongside the Republic of Korea’s progress. ■ ‘Group VISION 2045’ unveiled: charting the path to a centennial future
During the event, Emily Cho, President and CMO of HANJIN Logistics Corporation, announced “Group VISION 2045,” Hanjin’s long-term growth strategy toward its 100th anniversary in 2045.
President Cho stated: “As we celebrate our proud 80-year legacy, we are opening a new chapter in our journey toward becoming a centennial company. Last year, Hanjin Group achieved assets of KRW 58 trillion, revenue of KRW 31 trillion, and operating profit of KRW 2.5 trillion, growing into a global enterprise with 42 affiliates across aviation and logistics with more than 40,000 employees worldwide. Guided by the pioneering spirit of our founder, Hanjin Group will continue to build on its achievements and advance confidently toward the next 100 years.”

■ New corporate identity reflects heritage and global growth
At the event, Hanjin Group also unveiled its new corporate identity (CI), symbolizing its heritage and renewal. The new logo features the group’s iconic “H” mark, the HANJIN GROUP wordmark, Korean Air’s Taegeuk emblem, placed side by side to signify unity and shared heritage.
The redesigned “H” preserves the group’s legacy while embracing a forward-looking global identity. Rendered in a single, fluid and group’s signature blue, it conveys simplicity, dynamism and openness, a reflection of Hanjin’s progressive spirit and global ambition. The soft, upward curve of the “H” represents growth and agility, while the open circular form symbolizes inclusivity and collaboration.
