Last week on 17 May, we observed International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia (IDAHOTB), a day of both celebration and reflection. The theme "Our Bodies, Our Lives, Our Rights" called on global citizens to protect everyone's right to gender expression without fear or prejudice. Founded in 2004 by French activist Louis-Georges Tin (he/him), this impactful day is now observed in over 130 countries, including 37 where same-sex acts remain criminalized, highlighting the ongoing need for global equality and justice.
