GLOBAL OTP SUMMARY – April 2025

 




April witnessed 24% decrease in global flight cancellations. This improvement was particularly evident in Asia-Pacific, North America, and Europe. However, Latin America experienced a 12% increase in cancellation.

Regional highlights:
Global: SAS is the new leader in the global category with an OTP of 88.32%.
Asia-Pacific: Philippine Airlines emerged as the region's new leader, while four top-performing airlines from Australia and New Zealand also secured spots in the top 10.
North America: Consistently a strong performer in the top 10, Spirit Airlines is now the regional leader with an OTP of 83.25%.
Europe: Icelandair’s 7-point improvement in On-Time Performance since March positioned them as the new regional leader.
Latin America: With an OTP of 94.01%, Copa Airlines secured its place as the regional leader for the second month in a row.
Middle East & Africa: Royal Jordanian continued to lead the region for the second month despite a slight decrease in OTP.
Airports: King Khalid International Airport and Tocumen International Airport maintained their position as category leaders for Large and Medium Airports. El Salvador International Airport emerged as the new leader in Small Airport category with an OTP of 93.57%.
