Norwegian Aqua Debuts at Port Canaveral

Cruise Line’s newest ship, Norwegian Aqua, has officially arrived at Port Canaveral, kicking off her inaugural season of seven-day Caribbean cruises just in time for summer.

The 3,571-passenger vessel, the first in the new Prima Plus class, will sail from the Florida port through August 2025 with round-trip itineraries to top destinations including Puerto Plata, St. Thomas, Tortola, and NCL’s private island, Great Stirrup Cay, which is slated for major upgrades later this year.

“We are so thrilled to have Norwegian Aqua homeport in Port Canaveral for her inaugural season of Caribbean voyages,” said David J. Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line. “Designed for year-round fun-in-the-sun, the ship is perfect for guests looking for thrills or relaxation.”

Norwegian Aqua is the first of Norwegian’s new Prima Plus Class ships, offering a 10% increase in size and capacity over its sister ships, Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva
