When searching for inspiration for a brief weekend getaway, destinations that offer a mix of historical, cultural, or culinary attractions are ideal. Cities like Venice, Nice, Athens, and Vienna certainly tick all these boxes. This summer, trips to the enchanting city of gondolas and exquisite masks will become more frequent. Additional flights will also facilitate a deeper engagement with the ancient monuments of Athens, each narrating stories from eras long past, or allow you to experience the distinct sounds of the Vienna State Opera more often. Moreover, you’ll have more opportunities to explore the charm of the French Riviera, with Nice serving as its unofficial capital.
