Etihad Airways, Royal Air Maroc to deepen operational ties

Etihad Airways and Royal Air Maroc are set to collaborate more closely together after signing a MoU for commercial and operational ties.

The agreement is aiming to offer travellers more choice and added value.

Antonoaldo Neves, Etihad Airways CEO, said: “This agreement covers a broad range of activities from exploring the expansion of existing airline codeshare arrangements to more domestic routes in Morocco and Africa.”

The airlines will look to expand loyalty program benefits and ground operations.

Abdelhamid Addou, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Royal Air Maroc: “We are very proud to establish this important partnership offering a more optimised and seamless travel experience through our respective hubs.”

The existing airline codeshare agreement gives customers of both airlines easy connectivity to destinations across each other’s networks.

This is between Morocco and the UAE and beyond Casablanca into Africa.

The agreement enables guests to book their entire journey on a single ticket with baggage checked through to the end destination.
