Textron Aviation Powerfully Elevates Presence In Australia With Pioneering Facility Modernizations And Strategic Parts Enhancement

Textron Aviation boosts its Australian operations with upgraded facilities and enhanced parts availability and rebrands Premiair.

Textron Aviation revealed today that it is enhancing its operations in Australia by upgrading its facilities and improving the availability of parts for Cessna, Beechcraft, and Hawker aircraft across the region. Moreover, Textron Aviation has rebranded Premiair Aviation Maintenance, a service center it acquired in 2020, as Textron Aviation Australia Pty Ltd., integrating its Perth, Gold Coast, and Melbourne locations into its extensive global service network.

Customers of Beechcraft, Cessna, and Hawker benefit from direct factory support, maintenance, and modifications provided by Textron Aviation Inc., a subsidiary of Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT). The company supports its clientele through a widespread network of service and parts centers, mobile service units, and round-the-clock 1CALL AOG (aircraft-on-ground) assistance.

TEXTRON AVIATION BOLSTERS AFTERMARKET SUPPORT IN PERTH AND MELBOURNE

Textron Aviation is relocating to upgraded and expanded facilities at Jandakot Airport in Perth and Essendon Fields Airport in Melbourne to enhance service capacity and ensure the availability of parts in the area.

In Perth, the relocation of Textron Aviation’s Service Center to a more spacious facility at Jandakot Airport will allow for increased capacity in aircraft servicing. This expansion is expected to facilitate quicker scheduling and reduce downtime, helping to keep aircraft operational. Additionally, the new premises will offer more comfortable surroundings for both customers and staff. Textron Aviation anticipates that the upgraded facility will be fully operational by the end of July 2024.

“Investing in a larger and modern Textron Aviation Service Center facility in Perth allows us to grow our capacity and better assist customers with scheduled maintenance, modifications and aircraft-on-ground support,” said Brian Rohloff, senior vice president, Customer Support. “We take pride in enhancing the customer experience at all of our service locations to keep people moving and help customers evolve their aircraft to fit their missions.”

In Melbourne, Textron Aviation is enhancing its operations by adding 5,000 square feet of new parts storage at a facility near Essendon Fields Airport, situated within a five-minute radius of all major carriers and the Textron Aviation Service Center. This expansion quadruples the previous parts inventory in the area, significantly speeding up shipment times for customers. Furthermore, Textron Aviation is establishing a new customer support and warranty team in Melbourne, dedicated to addressing the parts requirements for Cessna, Beechcraft, and Hawker aircraft. The company expects the expanded Melbourne facility to be fully operational by the end of June 2024.

“Increasing parts inventory and team members in Australia allows us to respond even faster to customers when they need support,” said Brad White, senior vice president, Global Parts and Distribution. “With more than 1,400 aircraft operating in the region, we’re making this investment in direct response to customer feedback and an increasing demand for parts availability globally.”

PREMIAIR AVIATION MAINTENANCE REBRANDED AS TEXTRON AVIATION AUSTRALIA

Textron Aviation has officially rebranded all Premiair Aviation Maintenance facilities located in Perth, Gold Coast, and Melbourne as Textron Aviation Australia. This change aligns with Textron Aviation’s broader strategy to provide global, factory-direct maintenance and support.

The acquisition of Premiair Aviation Maintenance in 2020 was a strategic move to bolster Textron Aviation’s service capabilities. With a seasoned team of professionals who bring over twenty years of experience in aircraft maintenance, Textron Aviation Australia is authorized by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority to service the wide range of Cessna, Beechcraft, and Hawker aircraft.
