United Airlines marks 25th anniversary of Brussels - New York Newark Service

United Airlines is marking the 25th anniversary of its nonstop service between Brussels Airport and New York/Newark. Since its launch in May 1999, the airline has carried almost 3.5 million customers and transported over 150,000 tonnes of cargo on more than 17,000 flights on this route.

Today, United operates daily year-round nonstop service from Brussels to New York/Newark, with its flights doubling from once to twice daily during the summer season 2024, as well as daily year-round nonstop services from Brussels to Chicago O’Hare and Washington D.C. The new second daily service between Brussels and New York/Newark offers the only afternoon departure from Brussels to the U.S., as well as the latest departure from the New York metro area to Brussels. United will offer a total of four daily nonstop services from Belgium to the United States for Summer 2024 and more flights from Brussels to North America than any other airline.

“For a quarter of a century now, United has connected Brussels with the United States, offering our customers in Belgium nonstop connections to the New York metropolis, as well as an unrivalled network of onward connections from our New York/Newark hub to over 80 destinations across the Americas,” said Alexander Vanryckeghem, Country Sales Manager Belgium, United Airlines. “With such an important relationship between Belgium and the United States, this route continues to facilitate business and tourism, benefitting the economy on both sides of the Atlantic."

We congratulate United for this special 25th anniversary and thank them for their trust and year-long reliable and intense cooperation”. Said Arnaud Feist, CEO of Brussels Airport. “Offering daily flights to New

York, one of the most popular destinations across the Atlantic, is a great asset for our airport. We look forward to continue our successful collaboration in the years to come, linking the United States to the heart

of Europe. 25 years of partnership is an achievement we can all be proud of”.
