Turkish Airlines, Türkiye’s national carrier, enjoyed a record year for passenger traffic, flying 83.4 million people in 2023.
Domestic passenger capacity grew by 23.5% compared to 2022, surpassing 30 million, while the number for international routes rose by 16%.
Customers flying internationally was up to 53 million.
Turkish Airlines has increased international capacity by 27% versus 2019.
Turkish Airlines flies to more countries than any other.
Building on recent growth, the airline plans to expand the fleet to 800 aircraft within a decade.
It increased the fleet by 12% during 2023 to 440 which has since grown to 450 this year.
