The Leela Palace Bengaluru Makes it to the Top 50 At Condé Nast Traveller’s Top Restaurant Awards 2023

The Leela Palace Bengaluru is thrilled to announce that Le Cirque Signature, the Franco-Italian specialty restaurant has made it to the top 50 at the Condé Nast Traveller’s Top Restaurant Awards 2023.

The Top Restaurant Awards is India’s definitive list of the country’s 50 finest premium restaurants and is an authoritative and credible list judged by 100 of the country’s top tastemakers. The celebration of the best in the industry returned after a four-year hiatus, and was bigger, better and tastier than ever before. The event took place in Mumbai on 9th October 2023 and witnessed the presence of some of the most prominent names in the hospitality industry along with food writers, critics, influencers, and opinion makers from the city’s swish set.

A culinary masterpiece that transcends boundaries, Le Cirque Signature offers an epicurean selection of Franco Italian cuisine. Each dish prepared meticulously by the restaurant’s master chef, lends a delightful experience for both the palate and sight. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Madhav Sehgal, Area Vice President South India, The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts said, “We are truly humbled to be recognised amongst the best dining destinations in the country. The awards are a testimony to the great work that our team does in ensuring a memorable and outstanding experience to our diners and we are grateful to them for their continued love and appreciation.”

Talking about the fourth edition of the awards, Salil Deshpande, Head of Editorial Content, Condé Nast Traveller said, “There are a few surprises this year. Some classics have been replaced by some very new but exciting restaurants. But the trend from pre-lockdown times is now even more pronounced: diners are looking for a great experience, a new story and are willing to indulge chefs and their experiments. Indian food continues to be popular–but we are now comfortable having fun with it. And look at where our top 5 are coming from: Delhi, Goa, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata: every part of India is now producing great dining experiences.”

What makes these awards stand out is the credibility that comes with the brand and the transparency around the jury and judging system. Condé Nast Traveller curates an extensive shortlist of 1000+ restaurants from across the country. 100 jury members—India’s foremost tastemakers— come together across two phases of voting to come up with the 50 best restaurants in the country. The voting process is audited and tabulated by an independent consulting firm.
