PROVIDENCE, RI – Polar expedition ship operator Poseidon Expeditions announced its upcoming cooperation with Switzerland-based Sea Chefs. The renowned hospitality and catering company will commence operations aboard the 114-passenger Sea Spirit in October at the start of Poseidon’s 2023-24 Antarctic season.
In making the announcement, Poseidon CEO Angelica Vorea said, “Continual improvement in our onboard passenger services is a goal that serves everyone in the end – the company, our guests, and a catering and hospitality team that has historically received accolades for its exceptionally high level of friendly, quality service. We know that Poseidon and its passengers will be in good hands with Sea Chefs, and we look forward to partnering with them as we begin our 2023-24 season of expedition cruises in Antarctica and the Southern Ocean aboard the Sea Spirit.”
Sea Chefs’ reputation and track record are well-established, as they have successfully served ocean-going vessels, riverboats and expedition ships for many years. With a remarkable satisfaction record, they presently manage catering, hospitality and other services aboard more than 70 passenger ships worldwide.
“In the same way that our passengers expect a top-notch polar adventure from our bridge and expedition teams, they deserve no less than the best when they’re relaxing on board and anticipating a fine meal, friendly service and well-maintained, comfortable accommodations,” Vorea added. “We expect that the proximity of Poseidon’s offices and that of Sea Chefs in Limassol, Cyprus, and in Hamburg, Germany, will also benefit our ability to work closely and to deliver a first-rate cruise experience aboard the Sea Spirit.”
