Newmarket Holidays posted its best day for bookings since February last week, with every day of the week outperforming the same period in 2019 and 2022.
Monday last week saw the escorted tour specialist enjoy more sales than any day since the opening weeks of the year.
Group holidays to Elvis Presley’s America and South African safaris led the way.
The bookings rush continued throughout the week, with beyond-the-guidebook tours to Italy, Egypt and India also among the best sellers.
Exclusive packages to next year’s Wimbledon tournament also sold well.
David Sharman, Chief Commercial Officer said: “Last week saw a surge in bookings for both 2023 and 2024 tours, reflecting people’s desire to make up for the disappointment of wet summer.”
“Sales for the week were higher than the same periods in 2019 and 2022, confirming a return to pre-Covid travel confidence.:
“People keep on demonstrating a huge appetite to travel.”
Newmarket Holidays is currently offering savings of up to 15% on its UK, European and worldwide tours until 23 August.
