Indonesia forms task force for keeping a check on tourism in Bali

Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, Indonesia's Tourism and Creative Economy Minister said that his management has created a task force that involves people from numerous institutions to keep a tab on the tourism in Bali.

The minister said that they have designed a special task force. It will monitor all tourism related activities in Bali. Uno said this after taking part in an event organized by an online transportation company in Jakarta.

The task force will evaluate several aspects of tourism for betterment of the industry for the future, said Minister Uno.

Besides its picturesque views, Indonesia will be recognized for active law implementation, which will highlight tourists who adhere to the rules and enforce strict actions against those who disrupt them, said the minister.

Uno said that Indonesia has the image that tourists are greeted there, considering the red carpet welcome by the country. However, tourists need to follow the rules, and if they do not do that and violate them often, they will be cautioned. And if required, in case of numerous violations, Indonesia would not shilly-shally to expel the tourists and even ban them.

As per data, only a minor proportion of tourists rent bikes, thus the point-to-point ecology will be developed in Bali’s tourism arrangement, said the minister.
