Maldives President’s Tourism Gold Award conferred on Odisha-born hotelier Salil Panigrahi

 

Odisha-born Salil Panigrahi, Managing Director of Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts, has been conferred with the coveted Pravasi Bharatiya Samman 2021 in the Tourism category by the President of India for his contribution to the Maldives tourism sector and for establishing links between India and the Maldives through his Indian Ocean Hospitality brand. The award recognises his outstanding contribution to the tourism industry via the establishment of recognised resorts in the Maldives, which has improved India’s image.

To mark its worldwide tourism presence, the Maldives is commemorating its golden jubilee year. As a result, in order to recognise the efforts of tourism stakeholders, Salil Panigrahi has been awarded the ‘Maldives President’s Tourism Gold Award’ for his excellent contributions to the island nation’s tourism industry.

With successful projects in the Maldives and forthcoming properties in Sri Lanka, Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts is now looking to expand into India, Nepal, and Bhutan.
