On Wednesday, January 11, 2023, Bandista will play host to a bar pop-up featuring Jewel of the South, the heralded New Orleans bar and restaurant. The pop-up, featuring James Beard Award winner, bartender, and co-owner Chris Hannah, will take place from 5:00 pm to 12:00 midnight. Jewel of the South was named Best US Restaurant Bar of the Year, while Hannah won the award for US Bartender of the Year at the most recent Tales of the Cocktail conference. Jewel of the South was also named the #24 Bar in North America’s 50 Best Bars. The pop-up will feature four Jewel of the South house cocktails and one collaboration cocktail, ranging from USD 30 to 50 each. Reservations are required for this special evening, which benefits Camp H-Town.
Additionally, Bandista will pop-up in New Orleans on Sunday, January 15, 2023 from 5:00 to 11:00 pm at Jewel of the South. Highlighting the talents of Houston bartenders Alanna Svay and Sean Curtis, the pop-up will feature four Bandista house cocktails and one collaboration cocktail. Reservations are required for this bar pop-up, which benefits Turning Tables.
