Check-In With Suzanne: Winding Down 2022 and So Much Ahead for 2023

 It seems like just yesterday we were ushering in 2022 –  and now we are looking at 2023 just around the corner. For our association and industry, this has been another year of ongoing change and challenges – but also one of re-connection, evolution, and accomplishment. The recent recognition among BTN’s Top 25 Influencers of this year is truly a testament to our GBTA staff and industry partners in how positive transformation can happen. It is the culmination of a super-charged collaborative team, fearless vision, dynamic strategy, and operational plans fueled by the momentum of the full support of our Boards, volunteers, members, and sponsors. We are grateful to – and for – all of you.    
There’s so much to look forward to in the year ahead as we continue to create the future of the global business travel industry together. We have great programming and events already lined up for 2023 – including, of course, our annual Convention in Dallas, August 13-15, 2023 (for which registration is now open.)   

In 2023, our industry can continue to anticipate new changes and new twists – so get ready. But we will continue to evolve, to innovate, and bring our many perspectives together. At GBTA, we serve as the platform for collaborative change – a place and space for all sides to come together to tackle how travel can adapt and drive dynamic transformation in so many critical areas for our industry, people, and planet.      

But for now, we unpack our bags for business travel and, for many, pack them instead for travel during this season of family, friends, festivities, and fun. It’s also a time when many people have a chance to reflect, relax and recharge. (Our GBTA offices will be closed from December 26th through January 2nd to give our team a well-deserved break.)
