Wanuskewin Heritage Park – a finalist in TIAC awards

Saskatoon’s Wanuskewin Heritage Park is a finalist in the Tourism Industry Association of Canada’s (TIAC) Indigenous Tourism Award group.

Beth Potter,
the President and CEO of TIAC said that they are excited to become the finalists of these awards, which is of more significance this year than ever since the tourism industry was impacted first and hit the hardest by the pandemic.

Potter said that each of these finalists have demonstrated to have gone above and beyond regarding offering travelers with grander experiences in Canada, and have done so under extremely uncertain circumstances; in the midst of a global recession, widespread inflation, supply chain problems among others.

Two others named in the same category comprise the Heritage Path Tour in New Brunswick and the Corporation Nibiischii in Quebec.

This is the 22nd year of the awards. Winners will be declared at a mega ceremony in Ottawa on November 23.
