Sri Lanka’s tourism income during the first 10 months of this year exceeded $1 billion, as per the latest data from the central bank.
Data showed that the monthly tourism earnings were $75.6 million in October.
By the end of October, official funds of Sri Lanka were $1.7 billion, which is a slight shrink compared to the figure in September, as per the central bank.
More than 42,000 overseas tourists visited Sri Lanka in October, bringing the total tally of tourist arrivals this year will now in the South Asian country to more than 568,000, according to the statistics from tourism authority.
