Thinking of a universe surrounded by native Atlantic forest, the three characters competing for the title of official mascot of Recanto are animals that live in this biome. For Fernanda Rorato, MICE director (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) at Recanto Cataratas Thermas Resort & Convention, the chosen character is a way of giving the resort a humanized identity. “The idea of bringing a mascot to Recanto Cataratas is a way of attracting children to a playful, interactive, fun universe that is rich in stories to add to their stay. The mascot will be part of the families' moments during their stay at the resort, at the reception of the little ones, in the games with the recreation and the expected lunch and dinner with the presence of the character”, explains Fernanda.
Binho is a maned wolf, who normally would live in the Brazilian Cerrado, but whose parents had to come and live in the Cataratas region due to the deforestation of the natural region; Flay is a malachite butterfly who has explored a lot of nature around the resort and is ready to share all her knowledge about flowers, colors, animals and fruits; and Gael is a purple-breasted parrot that loves to stay close to forest areas full of araucarias. He is one of the symbols of the Atlantic Forest, but today he is endangered and needs a lot of awareness to continue surviving.
The three have incredible stories, but, for now, only one will be part of the Recanto Cataratas team. Voting runs until November 27th on the official Instagram and on the resort's premises.
