PM Hotel Group has appointed Ryan Butler as corporate director, sustainability + energy.
In this role, he will enhance the company’s decade-long commitment to environmental sustainability and its core value of respect—for one another, our guests, communities and the planet. He will lead PM Hotel Group’s strategic sustainability initiatives and be the direct point of contact for internal and external stakeholder collaboration.
The company’s sustainability team takes a “forward-looking approach, vigorously implementing energy, water and waste reduction programs,” as well as seeking opportunities to integrate renewable energy and green power into its portfolio of hotels, it reports.
Butler joins PM Hotel Group with a background in mechanical engineering and is currently pursuing a master’s in real estate at Georgetown University with a concentration in real estate finance. He has nearly a decade of commercial real estate sustainability consulting experience in the built environment. Prior to joining the company, he worked for JLL where he coordinated environmental, social and governance (ESG) projects across owner and corporate occupier real estate portfolios and set up strategic frameworks for corporate sustainability programs.
