Accommodations
The resort’s redesign seamlessly combines a simplistic, modern aesthetic with the serene influence of the northern California surroundings for an authentic and elevated experience. Sue Capelli has transformed the resort’s 45 guestrooms and suites into intimate private sanctuaries featuring modern furnishings-inspired artwork and a soft color palette that perfectly complements the natural setting.
Nestled in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains, CordeValle’s fairway rooms, villa suites and fairway homes (renovations of the fairway homes to be complete in 2023), can accommodate anywhere from two to eight guests. Boasting fireplaces, spa-inspired bathrooms with soaking tubs and separate showers, private outdoor space, luxury linens and locally-inspired amenities, CordeValle’s guestrooms are perfect for solo travelers, families or couples.
Food & beverage
The entire culinary experience at CordeValle has been reimagined by the new Executive Chef Abraham Torre who oversees the property’s three culinary concepts. Torre draws on his extensive experience and worldly influence to create signature menus and interactive culinary classes that combine northern California’s freshest ingredients with European techniques and flavors.
The resort’s signature restaurant Il Vigneto is a warm and convivial space serving fresh California takes on Italian favorites. The extensive wine list boasts a rotating selection of bottles from the world’s most renowned wine regions. Will reopen summer of 2023.
With the beauty of the CordeValle golf course as the focal point, One Iron Bar showcases Northern California-inspired cuisine that reimagines the local bounty in a creative way. The food is accompanied by an extensive bar program offering inventive cocktails and a meticulously curated wine list.
Adjacent to the golf course, Lion’s Peak Grill offers breathtaking outdoor seating and elevated American favorites, perfect after a long day of golf.
Chef Torre will also be launching a series of interactive classes that combine the best of CordeValle’s serene setting with engaging culinary immersions. Guests can join Chef at the outdoor pizza oven for a traditional pizza-making experience set amongst the backdrop of the mountains or a wine-tasting experience that showcases the best that the region has to offer. The culinary team at CordeValle also offers themed wine dinners that feature creative tasting menus that complement curated wine tastings showcasing the breadth of the property’s culinary prowess. More culinary activities will be unveiled throughout the year.
Golf & Activities
Tucked into the foothills of the Santa Cruz mountains, the CordeValle Golf Course was designed by internationally acclaimed golf architect Robert Trent Jones Jr. The 7,360-yard, 18-hole, par 72 championship course recently went through a full remodel including a fully re-leveled driving range and tee complexes, a higher-quality turf, completely resurfaced complexes across all 18 greens and sculpted contours that acknowledge the course’s surroundings. The course also features a perfect three hole loop of par 3, par 4 and par 5 holes ideal for less experienced players or juniors.
CordeValle has four newly resurfaced Plexicushion tournament tennis courts complete with all the equipment guests may need including racquets, ball machines and even a pavilion for apres tennis activities. CordeValle’s ATP tennis pro offers private lessons to help players of all levels improve their technique. In addition to tennis courts, the property has also unveiled two pickleball courts for guests and members looking to try the sport that has been gaining popularity over the last few years.
For those looking to relax, The Spa at CordeValle offers a suite of massages and facials using local products and natural herbs and minerals. The neighboring fitness center hosts personalized yoga classes in addition and offers a fully equipped gym where the property’s trainer can host one-on-one fitness classes for active travelers and even golfers. On warm days, guests can visit the property’s stunning outdoor pool followed by sunset aperitifs and a friendly game of bocce at the new bocce garden complete with two oyster shell courts and unbeatable views of the valley.
CordeValle is nestled amongst the renowned Santa Clara wine region boasting a multitude of wineries within driving distance, in addition to the 85 acres of vineyards on property. Santa Clara Valley is known as the first premium wine production region going back to the 18th century, offers tastings, tours and lively events including concerts and educational classes. CordeValle offers a little more than 5,200 sq. ft. of state-of-the-art meeting space spread across nine event spaces.
