Juneau, Alaska signs agreement with major cruise lines

 

Juneau, which is counted among the prominent cities in Alaska has signed agreements with major cruise lines. The decision has prompted by the recommendations from the local tourism authorities.

The tourism manager, Alexandra Pierce said that this agreement will help solve a lot of judicial complexities.

The cruise lines under the agreement commit to such things as keeping large outdoor screens turned off while in port. They will provide advance notice of ship schedules and also support the use of up to $10 million in cruise ship passenger taxes for the expansion to happen in Centennial Hall convention centre.

Renée Limoge Reeve who is the vice president of government and community relations for Cruise Lines International Association Alaska informed that there is no enforcement to have dealt with.

She also alluded to the fact that it is important to maintain a good relationship with the cruise lines. The agreement will develop a community she believes will add all the important cruise lines in partnership. The customers will thus be able to get a comprehensive experience.

Faith is the most important thing that any partnership can develop. The collaborative effort will provide the best support to the customers to get the best services. This will enhance the trust of the customers and tourism is likely to flourish.

Reeve has stated that this entire agreement will enhance creating an environment that will make sure that businesses are coming into the city along with the visitors. Good partners and business partners shall make help shape a community and environment that is open to flourishing.
