High Point Market Authority (HPMA) has revealed the return of Hospitality at Market, featuring educational and social programming for the hospitality design segment, during two days of the Fall Market, Oct. 23-24. An opening reception is scheduled for Saturday evening, Oct. 22.
At the heart of the Fall 2022, Hospitality at Market is a new program, Hospitality Experience, featuring exhibitor-sponsored showroom tours led by ambassadors and industry insiders Christi Barbour, David Cohen, Kelli Ellis and Gary Inman (pictured above). The complimentary tours are open to all members of the hospitality and design trades and will focus on various sectors of the industry such as custom, USA-made, sustainable products and boutique design. A registration link and additional details will be shared in early September on the Hospitality at Market section of the High Point Market website.
High Point Market exhibitors which supply the hospitality design segment are invited to become a program or tour sponsor by contacting Stephanie Jonas at HPMA.
Contributing to the two-day event agenda is a steering committee powered by star designers and industry executives, including Kelli Ellis, Ronati; Gary Inman, Gary Inman Interior Design; Debbie McKelvey, Bernhardt; Federico Contigiani, RHF Brands; Terri Schell, Overlees Contract Services; Lynda Welte, Blueprints for Green Design; Marco Martinez, COUTURE Jardin; Jason Phillips, Phillips Collection; Serena Martin, Phillips Collection; Tom Conley; Tammy Nagem, HPMA; Stephanie Jonas, HPMA; and Dan Davis, HPMA.
“It’s an outdated perception that High Point is a residential market because interior designers come here to source for commercial and hospitality projects,” says Gary Inman, president, Gary Inman Interior Design. “High Point Market is a design destination, period.”
“There’s really not another hospitality event that offers so many options and choices,” says Federico Contigiani, VP, sales and marketing, RHF Brands, which is a supplier of hospitality as well as residential furnishings. “There is not a better place to find products.”
The Hospitality at Market Experience originated in 2016 to actively attract hospitality design buyers to the furnishings trade show. It takes place on Sunday and Monday of each Fall Market.
“For October Market, we’re excited to bring back our popular guided tours and a full slate of programming to the Hospitality and Market Experience,” says Tom Conley, president/CEO, HPMA. “With over 11.5 million sq. ft. of showrooms, there’s something for everyone here.”
