Messi welcomed as new tourism ambassador of Saudi Arabia

 

First, when reports surfaced that possibly, Lionel Messi is collaborating with Saudi Arabia. Grant Liberty, human rights organization, called for Messi not to get associated.

The families of prisoners of conscience wrote a letter and shared in February 2021 by The Independent. It is said that Messi is an inspiration to millions. What he says and does really matters to many. Frankly speaking – the star has huge power, however, with power comes greater responsibility.

The letter also said that if Messi says ‘yes’ to the proposal to Visit Saudi, he would be in effect of agreeing to all abuses related to the human rights that take place in recent Saudi Arabia.

For the 34-year-old Messi, it’s the recent partnership, who signed a deal of US$20 million endorsement with fan token platform Socios.

On Monday, the arrival of the Argentine star was announced on social media by Ahmed Al-Khateeb, the Saudi Tourism Minister.


He said that he is quite happy to welcome Lionel Messi to Saudi Arabia. He also explained that they are excited for him to explore the fortune of the Jeddah Season, the Red Sea, and their ancient history. To the Kingdom, this isn’t his first visit and it will not be the last of course.


Also, Messi on a yacht watching the sunset is the picture that he posted recently along with his friends, Leandro Parades. He had captioned the pictures with ‘Discovering the Red Sea #VisitSaudi’.


The announcement that Messi would be Saudi’s latest tourism ambassador was met with delight from fans in the kingdom, including fellow footballer Sami Al Jaber, who is a forward for the Saudi national team.
