Not-so-smooth summer holidays for Brits as Covid restrictions might be BACK!

Officials have warned that increasing cases indicate that international travel requires following strict rules like face masks, tests and Covid passes.

Lib Dem MP Layla Moran warned that holidays both in the UK and abroad could be at risk.SUMMER holidays risk being thrown into chaos again this year as soaring Covid cases could mean restrictions are brought BACK.

Lib Dem MP stated It is possible that holiday plans will be ruined due to rising Covid rates in the UK. She also said that Other countries could reintroduce restrictions on arrivals from Britain, and transport companies – already in crisis from the Government’s mishandling of Brexit and industrial action, are likely to see an increase in staff shortages if cases increase.

The highest rate of cases in Cyprus, France, Greece and Portugal are among the nations with the highest incidence rates according to WHO, cases in Europe had risen by 33 percent in one week, which is the second-highest after Eastern Mediterranean which was 47 percent.

Spain’s reported infections rose by five times in the space of a week, Italy’s cases increased by 61 percent, France’s case increased by 37 percent and Germany’s case increased by 23 percent. Following this Spain has already warned they could reintroduce face masks this summer if cases continue to spiral.

Amós García Rojas who is a Canary Islands public health official said he has reasons to believe that indoor masking will be necessary. Dr. Hilary Jones has provided advice to the Brits to check the rules before flying, as there is a major number of cases increasing in Italy.

Long airport queues are a common thing across the UK for months, which even required passengers to sleep on the floor before weekend travel. Major chaos has been created due to a shortage of staff.

British Airways only has already cancelled 16,000 flights up to October. Next month 650 flights will be cancelled. Both Gatwick and Heathrow Airport have reduced their summer flight significantly.
