The flag carrier Air Serbia and ITA Airways, the successor of Alitalia, have expanded their code share agreement by placing each other’s marketing codes on additional destinations, Air Serbia said on Tuesday.
Air Serbia will place its marketing code on the flights between the Italian capital Rome and Bologna, Florence, Naples, Reggio Calabria, Verona, Barcelona, Cairo, Malta, and Tel Aviv, the company said in a statement.
The Italian airline will, in turn, place its marketing code on the flight linking Belgrade and Venice, as well as on flights from Belgrade to Dubrovnik, Pula and Split, in Croatia, the statement read.
“We look forward to the expansion of our business relationship and further development of cooperation with ITA Airways, which has proven to be very successful so far. With the introduction of new codeshare flights, we will further contribute to the improvement and strengthening of cultural and economic ties between our countries, while providing our passengers a more attractive offer and quicker connections,” Bosko Rupic, Air Serbia’s general manager, commercial and strategy, said.
The two companies entered the code share agreement in late November.
