Dubai’s hospitality sector preparing for Expo 2020 Dubai

 

Dubai’s hospitality sector is preparing for Expo 2020 Dubai, which is the largest event to take place ever in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA) region, as per the Dubai Media Office (DMO).

The emirate’s hotels are gearing up to launch packages and extended stay offers especially meant for visitors to the exhibition, which would take place from October 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022.

As of May 2021, there were 128,545 hotel rooms in Dubai. This list spanned 715 hotel establishments, including 134 five-star hotels, according to Dubai Tourism.

Dubai has one of the highest numbers of hotel rooms in the world, and there will be at least 100,000 hotel rooms available for Expo guests.

Among properties on offer are icons like the seven-star Burj Al Arab and some of the tallest hotels in the world, like Gevora Hotel (356.3 metres), JW Marriott Marquis Dubai (355m), SLS Dubai Hotel and Residences (336m), Rose Rayhaan by Rotana (333m), Burj Al Arab (321m), Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel (309m) and Millennium Plaza (294m).

Staged under the theme ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future, Expo 2020 Dubai is expected to be the largest cultural gathering globally. The 182-day event will attract more than 200 entities create inspiring experiences, including countries, multilateral organizations, companies, and educational institutions.
