The chiefs related to Tourism and Aviation in the UK has recently called on Sajid Javid, the new Health Secretary, to help the businesses in the country by easing travel restrictions.
Tim Alderslade, head of trade body Airlines UK, has lately written a letter and urged the Cabinet minister to expand the green list of foreign countries wherein tourists can travel without quarantine rule on their return.
The letter had mentioned that the UK is the world's third most internationally connected country and that every year travel sector alone generates £53 billion in domestic spending.
“The pandemic has been a catastrophe for our industry and the wider economy,” it said.
