easyJet to expand in Sweden and invest further at Stockholm Arlanda – adds two new routes to Mallorca and Málaga

The British low-cost carrier easyJet sees more opportunities in the Swedish market and is expanding its range of destinations on offer from Stockholm Arlanda Airport with two new connections to Palma de Mallorca and Málaga.

The airline easyJet is expanding its range of destinations on offer at Stockholm Arlanda Airport with two new direct routes to Spain. During the summer and through the autumn, it will offer several weekly departures to Palma de Mallorca and Málaga. Along with the new routes from Stockholm Arlanda, easyJet at the same time will launch direct service to Palma de Mallorca from Göteborg Landvetter Airport.

“We are of course really pleased that easyJet sees more opportunities in the Swedish market and dares to invest and expand after these difficult times. This increased access will be important for the post-pandemic restart for all of Sweden. Mallorca is one of the most popular destinations for Swedes both for holidays and to visit loved ones, and we know that many people cannot wait to travel and meet,” says Elizabeth Axtelius, Director Aviation Business at Swedavia Airports.

“The pace of vaccinations and travel restrictions are critical to the recovery both in Sweden and the rest of the world, and we look forward to the situation allowing our passengers to prepare to travel again,” Elizabeth Axtelius concludes.

“We know our customers can’t wait to explore Europe, escape to the sun or be reunited with friends and family so we have added two new routes to Palma de Mallorca and Málaga to further strengthen our offer from Stockholm, already connecting to popular European destinations such as Berlin, Geneva or Milan, and providing customers with even more choice”, says William Vet, Country Manager at easyJet.

“We continue to have some of the most flexible policies currently in place so customers can book with confidence and change their plans if they need to, making travel as easy as possible this summer and autumn.” notes William Vet.

Starting July 20 and until late October, easyJet will serve the Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) – Palma De Mallorca Airport (PMI) route three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Other operators serve this route.
