Now in its eleventh edition, ‘The Pink Book: Legislation for tourist accommodation and attractions’ provides guidance for running an accommodation business and an attraction - from food hygiene and health and safety to business management and tax.

VisitEngland Director Andrew Stokes said, “The Pink Book is an important tool for tourism businesses providing a repository of easy to use, up-to-date guidance on legislation. It is vital in supporting the industry to maintain its high standards and it will also assist businesses in meeting their regulatory obligations as they move towards recovery.”
The latest edition includes new information for visitor attractions on Gift Aid, setting up a charity and how to safely provide work equipment and machinery. The new points-based migration system is also outlined to explain the requirements when employing someone from outside the UK.
The Pink Book is the only guide to legislation specifically aimed at all accommodation providers and attractions in England and the eleventh edition is sponsored by the Professional Association of Self-Caterers (PASC UK).
