Remarks of Alexandre de Juniac at IATA Media Briefing

A Happy New Year to you from all of us here in the IATA Corporate Communications Team. We wish you a prosperous and healthy 2021.

Today we held our first media briefing of the year, with our Director General Alexandre de Juniac and Chief Economist Brian Pearce.

 Brian focused on showing the latest impact of the renewed lockdowns on the prospects for air travel. Alexandre renewed the industry’s call for governments to deploy more flexible policies to safely reopen borders by using testing rather than rely on quarantines.
