Via the new integration, first Peakwork tour operator clients in the EMEA region already access and book worldwide air content from the Sabre system. Peakwork increases its portfolio for flight-only sales and dynamic leisure travel packaging with Sabre, a leading software and technology provider powering the global travel industry. This includes connectivity to major network carriers, hybrid airlines, low-cost carriers and charter airlines across the globe. Offer data not only includes flight only tariffs but also ancillaries comprising additional services such as baggage and more.
Sabre is one of the first flight suppliers within the Peakwork network who already implemented the hybrid connectivity for search and for booking. This implies that frequently searched flights are delivered from Sabre into the private Peakwork cache solution which reduces transaction fees. Long-tail flight offers, comprising offers and destinations which are not searched and booked frequently, will be requested in the Sabre inventory ad hoc in the moment of the customers’ online demand. This balanced connectivity reduces hosting and transactions fees significantly. First integration is already life.
Marcos Pinedo, VP Partner Solutions at Sabre, said: “Peakwork is an innovative partner with a shared focus on delivering a next-generation travel shopping experience. The connectivity to the Peakwork network will allow the offer of flights and ancillaries to the Peakwork customers in the leisure travel sector and especially in touristic dynamic packaging. The new interface supports additional service sales which is very important for our travel agency customers.”
Ralf Usbeck, CEO of Peakwork, said: “We have been working closely with Sabre for many years in different fields of touristic travel sales. For our international clients, we are now able to offer extremely efficient flight supply – cache and realtime – to increase efficient flight sourcing and booking.”
