On behalf of the City of San Antonio and the San Antonio Airport System SAAS, I am delighted to announce the new dates of April 26-28, 2021 for the upcoming SMART Airports & Regions Conference & Exhibition in San Antonio, Texas.
April is the perfect time to visit our beautiful city and the 2021 SMART Airports Conference event coincides with our world-famous Fiesta San Antonio celebration! Although some events will be modified to coincide with up to date COVID best practices, the people, music, food, history and heart of San Antonio will be evident at every venue.
Innovation and opportunity are cornerstones of the delegate experience and they are also vital to SAT as we plan for the future of our airport system and the impact our growth will have on our community. More than 10 million passengers — an average of over 28,000 per day — fly in and out of the San Antonio Airport System each year. In the next 20 years, that number could nearly double to 18 million passengers per year! To accommodate this growth and continue to generate prosperity for the region, SAAS must keep up with the air travel demands of the community. Our Strategic Development Plan will provide a laser focus on the next 20 years and plans for growth and expansion for the next 50 years.
The 2021 SMART Airports & Regions Conference & Exhibition will offer a unique opportunity to learn from a host of specialized presenters on innovative strategies in airport design, construction & development, commercial development, real estate and non-aeronautical revenue, customer service excellence and community engagement.
