LISBON, PORTUGAL - The American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) has appointed Lisbon-based travel professional, Sheree M. Mitchell, as the president of its new Chapter in Portugal. ASTA Vice President and International Membership & Host Agencies, Bob Duglin stated: “ASTA is very excited about our new chapter in Portugal under the leadership Sheree M. Mitchell from Immersa Global.”
As an American travel professional with an extensive global network and deep knowledge of Portugal, Mitchell plans to leverage her connections to build strong relations between members of the Portugal Chapter and ASTA’s partners in the US.
In a recent communication to ASTA’s members, Mitchell stated: “It’s an honor and privilege to have the opportunity to start and lead this new ASTA Chapter in Portugal. Even in a year like 2020, I strongly believe that the timing couldn’t be better. While ASTA continues to advocate diligently for our industry, Portugal continues to earn international recognition as one of the leading destinations in the world.
Now with an ASTA chapter in Portugal, I look forward to working with local members to help build back better in 2021 and beyond.”
