Seabourn to cancel some operations until November 2021

Seabourn has decided to cancel a series of 2021 voyages for two ships in its fleet as part of a broader redeployment in preparation for an eventual return to service. The cancellation announcement would apply to selected itineraries on Seabourn Odyssey and Seabourn Quest.

Seabourn Odyssey will see selected voyages cancelled from January 16 until November 5 next year. The seven-day Alaska/British Columbia and the Pacific Coast sailings have not been cancelled. On the other hand, Seabourn Quest will cancel voyages longer than seven days with calling on a United States port cancelled from July until November 6.

The cancellations come during a time when the brand is working towards implementing its plan to resume guest operations, which includes meeting the requirements of the framework for resuming cruise ship operations order issued by the United States Centres for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC). Josh Leibowitz, President, Seabourn said in a statement that the company is fully committed to meeting the requirements necessary to bring guests back to its ships, including those issued by the CDC.

He mentioned that the team is grateful for the continued support it is witnessing from guests, the travel advisor community, partners and everyone with an interest in the hundreds of destinations the cruise visits. He also asked everyone to stay tuned for releases of alternative voyage options in the months ahead as conditions permit.
