This week, the World Travel & Tourism Council will introduce its series of virtual events related to travel- and tourism with the title “One Voice – Towards a Brighter Future”.
The virtual events are planned to throw light on the shocking impact of COVID on the Travel & Tourism sector. Also, it aims to show how an internationally coordinated approach is key to recovery.
On September 24th, the first event of the series will take place and will be “One Voice – Accelerating the Sustainability Agenda”. In 2019, during the same week, WTTC organized its first Climate and Environmental Action Forum. Here, the sector introduced its goal to Climate Neutrality by 2050.
With an introduction by Gloria Guevara, WTTC’s President & CEO, this year’s debate will be managed by Ros Atkins of BBC and will feature UNFCCC’s Executive Secretary Patricia Espinosa, and Darrell Wade, WTTC’s Vice-Chair of Sustainability.
This webinar will be focusing on the theme “Sustainable Travel & Tourism”, its part of The Climate Week NYC official events program.
The panel together will talk on how we can be more responsible stewards and work jointly in regards to climate change, as well as how this topic has been accelerated in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The WTTC’s “One Voice – Accelerating the Sustainability Agenda” will take place at 03:00 PM BST.
