Advice about COVID-19 for the public and visitors of Attica and Greece

From the very first day, the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) provides information on the measures taken for the coronavirus outbreak by the Greek Government. Info related to tourism, our visitors and the situation in our country.
For the time being Greece has suspended all transport links with non-EU countries as well as Spain and Italy till further notice. Seasonal hotels and resorts in Greece will remain temporarily closed from March 15th, 2020 until April 30th, 2020. Youth hostels will remain closed from March 19th, 2020 until April 30th, 2020. Additionally, ski resorts, as well as beaches offering amenities (public, private or run by municipalities), will temporarily remain closed until March 29, 2020.
Greece imposes a 14-day quarantine to any new arrival from now on, until further notice. The government also decided to implement a ban on all cruise ships and sailboats docking at its ports.
Furthermore, mass gatherings have been banned. Museums, Archaeological Sites, Cinemas and shopping centers are on lockdown until March 30th, 2020 and until further notice. Cafes, restaurants, tavernas, bars, have shut down, besides the ones who offer delivery or take out till further notice. Casinos and gaming clubs with the exception of street vendors will remain closed throughout the country.
