Technical problems lead to the crashing of Ukrainian airliner having 170 passengers on board after taking off from Tehran’s Imam Khoemeini airport.
Boring 737 crashed near the airport and then burst into flames which belongs to the Ukraine International Airlines.
Head of Iran’s emergency service, Pirhossein Koulivand said that the fire was so heavy that they cannot do any rescue, 22 ambulances, four bus ambulances and a helicopter at the site was sent at the site.
Iran’s Civil Aviation Organisation spokesperman, Reza Jafarzadeh said the state television that the number of passengers onboard the flight was 170.
FlightRadar24, air tracking service, said that the plane crashes was Flight PS 752 and was flying to Kiev. The plane was a Boeing 737-NG and was three years old.
Although the airline’s call centre in Kiev had no information yet, but as per the preliminary information as per IRNA the plane was bound for Kiev and had 180 passengers and crew.
Boeing spokesman Gordon Johndroe stated that the company was aware of media reports of a plane crash in Iran and was gathering more information.
The BBC’s Iran correspondent, Ali Hashem showed in video footage that the plane was already burning in the sky before it crashed in a massive explosion which sparked speculation that the jet might have been shot down.
After reaching an altitude of 7,925 ft the airline suddenly disappeared, the tracking of flight ended after six minutes and was moving at a ground speed of 316 miles-per-hour.
About 60 kilometres south-west of the Iranian capital the plane crashed around Parand.
In the southern outskirts of Tehran, the investigation team was at the site.
